By McCownGordon Construction | August 29, 2013

In response to business growth and client demand, McCownGordon Construction of Kansas City announced today it is opening an office in the State of Kansas located in Manhattan, Kan.

“A core value of our company is the importance of lasting relationships with clients and partners such as architects, engineers and subcontractors,”said Ramin Cherafat, COO.“We have a number of both public and private Kansas projects, and increasing our proximity to those clients will allow us to continue to provide a high level of customer service and become more engaged within those communities.”

Todd Knight, Regional Manager, will lead the office on site, which will focus on continuing to build upon the company’s core values of integrity, performance and relationships through project-related (preconstruction, construction and post-construction) functions.

“We will start with four full-time associates in the fall and double the office’s employment by spring,” Knight said. “We will both relocate current associates and hire additional staff as current projects ramp up and business grows.”

McCownGordon is serving a number of clients in Kansas with projects including Prairiefire at LionsGate in Overland Park, College of Engineering expansion at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kiowa County School District Expansion in Greensburg and the Kansas Department of Agriculture Administrative Building in Manhattan.

Pat McCown, CEO, said that the company’s corporate offices at 422 Admiral Blvd. in downtown Kansas City will continue to serve as headquarters for the company.

“Just as our clients in the greater Kansas City region know we are here to help them with their projects, we are now proud to say we can even better serve our clients in Kansas with the opening of our branch office in Manhattan”, McCown stated . “Community involvement rooted in civic and corporate citizenship is and will remain a vibrant, ongoing part of the McCownGordon culture both here in Kansas City and now in our office in Kansas.”
