Louisiana crime lab controls moisture with metal wall panels

Sept. 13, 2011

The new Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Crime Laboratory in Harvey, La., uses CENTRIA’s Formawall Dimension Series to promote thermal efficiency and control moisture levels. The lab, designed by Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects and built by MAPP Construction, is housed in a 45,000-sf, four-story building, uniting the department’s crime scene division, DNA lab, forensic lab, photo lab, and latent print technicians. Metal panels cover more than 13,000 sf of wall space. Formavue Windows integrate with the panels, providing weather resistance and thermal breaks.
