IMEG Corp. has acquired PEDCO, a Cincinnati-based engineering firm. The Oct. 1 deal is the third acquisition of 2021 for IMEG, a national full-service engineering firm with 60 U.S. locations.

Founded in 1981, PEDCO has been serving the Cincinnati and surrounding areas for over 35 years. The firm’s full engineering services have been applied to a variety of project types including the healthcare, science & technology, higher education, and workplace markets – along with full design services for the industrial market sector.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome PEDCO into our company and complete our second Ohio-based acquisition within a year,” said IMEG President/CEO Paul VanDuyne. “This strategic opportunity blends our engineering design capabilities and expands our Ohio presence – as well as adds to our industrial team, which has been a growing market for IMEG.”

PEDCO CEO Mike Walsh said his team is excited to become a part of IMEG and help drive growth in the Ohio region. “We’re thrilled to join IMEG and looking forward to being able to expand the services we offer our existing clients,” he said. “Our firm’s culture blends well with IMEG’s client-centric approach, allowing us to leverage a broader base of market and technical expertise.”

Walsh will continue as Client Executive with IMEG. The firm will continue to operate out of its existing Cincinnati office, doing business as PEDCO, now IMEG.

IMEG is a leading U.S.-based engineering design firm delivering a rare combination of the broad expertise of a national leader with the personal relationships and deep collaboration of a local firm. The firm is 100% employee-owned and results-driven with a passion for transforming environments and communities through high-performance design and infrastructure. With 60 offices and 1,600 team members, IMEG serves regions and markets with full-service, in-house engineering design. IMEG is a Top 10 Engineering Firm in the U.S. (#6 BD+C) and ranked #77 on ENR’s Top 500 Design Firms list. For more information, visit imegcorp.com or pedcoeng.com.
