The patented cylindrical locking mechanism of the Pyramid cylinder offers protection against picking and drilling. Key blank distribution guidelines defend against unauthorized key duplication. The locking device in the cylinders must be depressed by a control pin in the key for the cylinder to be activated. The patent is valid until 2018.
