Aug. 11, 2010

P&O Ports Florida, on behalf of the Port of Miami, has chosen The Haskell Co.'s transportation division to provide construction management-at-risk and design-build services for group of cruise and cargo redevelopment projects. The contract includes 33 individual projects, which are scheduled for completion in two years.

Projects for the port feature marine/wharf work; a large parking garage; several large maintenance and intermodal facilities; parking lots; roads and bridges; re-roofing; new cargo gates; utility improvements; and extensive port security upgrades. In addition, Haskell will meet its community/small business enterprise (CSBE) goal of 11 percent. These small businesses, many of which are minority-owned, will contribute services to the overall project scope.
