Nelson acquires AE Pragmatics

Philadelphia-based architecture, engineering, and interior design firm Nelson announced this week that it’s merging with AE Pragmatics, a design, consulting, and training firm based near San Francisco. The combined organization, which will use the Nelson name, will total more than 375 people and have annual billings in excess of $38 million.

This merger is of strategic importance to Nelson as it solidifies a foothold for the firm on the west coast . T he Nelson/AEP merger extends the company's geographic reach and broadens the services provided to clients. Nelson will add Sun Microsystems to its existing technology client base of  America Online (AOL), Cisco Systems, Xerox, and Philips through this deal.

Thomas McCune and Denise Kessel, former partners of AEP, will assume the roles of Managing Directors of Nelson's Northern California operation. Together, Tom and Denise offer more than 40 years of experience.
