Severe Weather Solutions: New Threats, New Technologies

Hurricane-prone regions have taken quite a beating in recent years—and so have Building Teams working in those areas. In 2007 alone, the Atlantic hurricane season spawned 14 named storms, along with six hurricanes and considerable inland flooding. When a major hurricane comes ashore in a populated area, some property loss is inevitable. But sturdy construction of buildings and the addition of protective devices can reduce losses.
