Trimble unveils new mixed-reality device with Microsoft HoloLens 2 technology

March 7, 2019

The Trimble XR10 with HoloLens 2 is Trimble’s new wearable mixed-reality device that allows workers in safety controlled environments to access holographic information on the jobsite.

The hard hat compatible device is the first to be created with the Microsoft HoloLens Customization Program. It integrates the latest spatial computing technology, a wider field-of-view, improved usability, and a flip-up viewscreen. Trimble also unveiled an expanded set of software and services and continued development for Trimble Connect for HoloLens, a cloud-based collaboration platform, for use with the XR10.

The full solution will provide greater accessibility to 3D models for front-line workers and enables new field-oriented workflows to leverage 3D content in daily work tasks. The Trimble XR10 with HoloLens 2 is available for preorder with an MSRP of $4,750.
