D.C. office buildings going green at twice the national average

Oct. 24, 2013

In 2011, about 33% of new office buildings in the U.S. were built to green standards, but in the nation’s capital that rate has skyrocketed. Since 2009, about 66% of the office space built in Washington, D.C., has been green. Incentives, a desire to reduce energy costs, and a movement to cut an organization's environmental footprint are contributing to this trend.
