Mergers and acquisitions. Seattle-based Callison Architecture Inc.; Atlanta-based Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates; and Honolulu-based Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo have formed a global strategic alliance offering architecture, interior design, planning and consulting services.

STV Group Inc., Douglassville, Pa., is taking the company private, with employee stock ownership.

Baltimore-based RTKL Associates has opened an office in Memphis, Tenn.

Onward and upward. Ghafari Associates LLC, a Dearborn, Mich.-based architectural and engineering firm, and G-Tech Professional Staffing Inc. named Jeanne M. Leonard chief financial officer.

Koll Construction LP, which is based in Newport Beach, Calif., has named Jeff Dun as regional vice president of the Newport Beach office. Dun will oversee West Coast operations from Orange County north to San Francisco.
