Destination design firm Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, Honolulu, has unveiled the design for Panama City Center, a contemporary mixed-use project in Panama City, Panama. The project consists of two towers that emerge from a podium structure that contains a conference center, casino, spa, fitness center with pool, retail, and multiple food and beverage venues. One tower houses a 397-room hotel with 22 condominium units; the other is an office building. A thin cascade of water will run down a portion of the building façade. At night, a spotlight will highlight the water feature, creating a dynamic light pattern on the building. The project is scheduled to open in 2010.
