Luxury apartment tower going up in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood

ocal contractor James McHugh Construction has begun construction of Streeter Place, a 54-story luxury apartment tower in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood. When completed in November 2009, the development will feature 480 apartments and a 402-space parking garage. Its 12-story base will include approximately 10,000 sf of retail space and a number of amenities, including a business services center, party room, game room, reading lounge, upscale media room, and fitness center with two indoor spas. Solomon Cordwell Buenz, Chicago, designed the project on behalf of local developer Golub & Company LLC and owner OGM Investors II LLC.
