New York City-based E/A The Thornton-Tomasetti Group Inc., which is composed of Thornton-Tomasetti Engineers, LZA Technology and LZA Associates, has acquired Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Knezevich & Associates, a designer of hurricane-resistant building components. Knezevich has been integrated into LZA Technology.

Nu-Line Technologies, a Wheeling, Ill.-based electrical contractor and design/build engineering company, has opened an office in Chicago.

Perkowitz + Ruth Architects, based in Long Beach, Calif., has opened an office in Las Vegas. Rudolph Starks Jr., director, southwest region, is in charge.
