Niles Bolton Associates recently celebrated the opening of the $20 million Howard School in West Midtown Atlanta. The private K-12 school, which the firm designed, serves students with learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, and was designed to fit in with its warehouse surroundings on a 15-acre lot in West Midtown. In contrast to the Howard School's previous location—a historic house in the Druid Hills neighborhood—the new campus has a more contemporary feel, one that is reflective of the neighborhood and more accommodating to the way the school teaches. The new facility houses a 16,000-sf gym, a black-box theater, and three classroom wings.
