Construction Software Technologies and Associated General Contractors of America have developed Internet Plan Room, which provides information, including plans, on public projects.

Seiko has introduced the InkLink Handwriting system, which captures handwritten notes and drawings directly to a handheld, laptop or desktop PC. Using an electronic clipboard and a ballpoint pen attached to legal-size paper pad, hand movements are captured and communicated to the PC.
Arched vision
Software for creating and manipulating sophisticated 3-D structures allows architects to build reports and render images of designs developed in various graphic formats. TekCAD allows the designer to create flat, arched, cylindrical and conical space frames, as well as domes and pyramids.

The International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) has launched an online database that enables users to search for over 1,500 worldwide ICRI members, including contractors, engineers, consultants and material vendors. Users can search by company, material type and geographic area.
Coming or going?
Online access control system can manage the profiles of up to 10,000 users per door. The software can also turn electrical devices on or off on a schedule, or in response to an alarm.
