A $9.6 million, four-story, 34,000-sf residence hall at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga. The site orientation, design strategies, and materials being used will help the building achieve 50% less energy use than a conventionally constructed structure. The 60-bed residence, designed by Lord, Aeck & Sargent of Atlanta, is targeting LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. New South Construction Co. of Atlanta is the GC, with Andrews, Hammock & Powell of Macon, Ga., as MEP/FP engineer and KSi of Atlanta as structural engineer.
