BD+C's Robert Cassidy talks climate change with CSI, U.S. DOE

Aug. 11, 2010

Building Design+Construction's chief editor, Robert Cassidy, warned members of the Washington Metro chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute about the looming dangers of climate change and the impact it will have on AEC professionals.

“With more than 30 climate change initiatives under way among state, regional, and local entities, it's almost certain that future building and energy code regulations will have a climate change component to them,” said Cassidy, speaking at the Ecobuild conference at the Washington Convention Center.

The next day, Cassidy briefed officials of the U.S. Department of Energy on the findings of BD+C's White Paper, “Green Buildings + Climate Change” and the implications for DOE research. USDOE was one of eight sponsors of the report, available for free download at: www.BDCnetwork.com/article/ca6566572.html
