Double-skin cavity wall will keep athletic center warm and bright

Aug. 11, 2010

RMJM Hillier of New York has broken ground on the Ian H. Graham Athletic Center at Peddie School in Hightstown, N.J. The athletic center will include a renovation to the existing 112,000-sf facility and construction of a 35-meter competition pool. The new pool building will be clad with a double skin of polycarbonate with a 20-inch cavity to maximize daylight and help moderate the indoor temperature. The project also includes a new fitness and wellness center, outdoor turf fields, and a rooftop photovoltaic system.
