An energy-efficient and maintenance-free retrofit pedestal lamp is offered for recessed nightlight and steplight fixtures in hospitals and nursing homes and pathway lighting for stairways. The solid-state electronic circuitry is surge-protected and guaranteed for five years. With an optional 2-in. diameter or a 31/8-polycarbonate lens configuration, the pigtail power supply connector will retrofit candelabra, medium, bayonet, intermediate-base incandescent fixtures and compact fluorescent PL5, 7,9 fixtures.
