San Diego project has Carrier Johnson looking up
The San Diego-based architectural firm Carrier Johnson announced plans to design a $300 million mixed-use project for the city's downtown area that will incorporate aesthetics into the vertical living concept. The 42-story building will have housing, hotel, retail, commercial, and cultural space and will feature roof decks, garden terraces, and balconies on different levels of the structure. Groundbreaking is slated for 2008. The project—part of the city's effort to revitalize the East Village District area—will be developed jointly by The Related Companies, New York, and San Diego-based CityLink.
