Town Rec Center Being Built in Northern Virginia

Forrester Construction, Rockville, Md., has been awarded the contract for the $22 million Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Center in Warrenton, Va. The facility will be part of the town plan for development of a 65-acre site along Warrenton's western edge. The 50,000-sf, two-story aquatic and recreation center will have an 11-lane lap pool, a 7,700-sf leisure pool, a fitness center, locker rooms, an administration area, and multi-purpose recreational areas.

The architect is Grimm + Parker of McLean, Va. Construction began in January and is expected to be completed by June 2007.
