Valspar products at the forefront of innovation and sustainability
At Valspar, we have a company culture that keeps us at the forefront of green innovation. From our own operations to the products we create, we take many actions to protect our environment and provide coatings that meet the needs of our customers.
As environmentally friendly building classification systems and programs including Leadership in Energy and Efficient Design (LEED), the Living Building Challenge, and ENERGY STAR grow in popularity, Valspar has products to meet these stringent requirements.
Cool Roofs: Valspar’s Fluropon SR, a 70% PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) coating with solar reflective pigments, is both environmentally friendly and energy efficient. Projects with cool roofs enjoy lower cooling costs by reflecting the sun’s rays, saving energy.
Fluropon Pure: This coating is ideal for projects with challenging environmental requirements that require reduced hazardous materials. This Red List-compliant coating supports our customers who participate in LEED v4 and the Living Building Challenge’s Declare programs. When transparency is paramount, architects and suppliers know this Valspar coating allows projects to achieve even the most rigorous environmentally friendly classifications.
Valspar understands that transparent and energy-efficient materials are important for protecting the environment. Our scientists are helping to create safer and cleaner products that meet stringent requirements for sustainability.
