The new 14,000-sf Dinosaur Hall is scheduled to open this month at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. As part of a $135 million expansion initiative, the hall is twice the size of the museum’s previous dinosaur exhibit and will feature more than 300 fossils, 20 full-body displays, and numerous digital interactive systems. Displays are designed to engage visitors to interact with the museum’s Dinosaur Institute research programs. A new main entrance and 3.5 acres of outdoor nature exhibits will also be on display. The Building Team: Evidence Design, Kim Baer Associates, Phil Fraley Productions, Research Casting International, CO Architects, and Cordell Corp.
