An office building at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., suffered from indoor temperatures as high as 90°F due to direct sun exposure. To solve the problem, Calvin installed windows with Pleotint’s thermochromic lamination film, which reduces sun transmission by up to 85%. The patented technology tints windows automatically as they are exposed to solar heat, reducing energy costs and glare. No controls are necessary, and film can be customized for windows up to 5x10 feet.
