As part of an effort to revitalize a neighborhood in Bordeaux, France, that was bombed during World War II, local design firm Architecture King Kong used DuPont exterior cladding to give the Seeko’o Hotel an austere look devoid of historical style. The solid-surfacing material is durable and designed to withstand chemicals, humidity, and freeze/thaw, and is nearly seamless, giving the building its streamlined aesthetic. Available in a variety of shapes, textures, and colors, some with recycled content, the cladding can contribute to LEED points, according to the maker.
