When Medrad, a Warrendale, Pa.-based manufacturer of medical equipment, wanted to replace its clear-coat epoxy floors with a new flooring system that was both easier to maintain and environmentally friendly, the company specified a DiamondQuest concrete floor system. Its multi-step fine grinding process gives concrete a stunning sheen that inhibits contaminants from penetrating the surface. And, unlike tile, carpet, or VCT, DiamondQuest doesn't wear out, so there is no need for replacement down the road. The surface was ready for work immediately because there was no material to cure.
