Built to Suit
Family of modular building products includes buildings, wall systems, and access systems. The Redi-Plex Buildings are columnless modules that can be used alone or in groups to create structures of all sizes. Redi-Wall systems are vinyl-covered walls that can quickly fashion any floor plan needed. Redi-Access Systems are pre-engineered steps and ramps that are virtually maintenance free. Together, the system provides a turnkey space solution to create a building quickly and affordably, says its maker. Common applications include schools, health care, government, industrial, storage, and commercial offices. More than 100 floor plans are available. Buildings can also be custom designed for specific needs.

Metal-Made
In designing the DC Center in Omaha, Neb., local architect Carlson West Povondra Architects chose to build the walls of the 25,000-sf banquet facility with six-inch metal wall panels. The owner wanted the architecturally distinctive facility to be completed in just seven months, to be ready for events they had booked while the building was under construction. "This panel spanned the distances we needed, allowed us to achieve the character sought by the owner, and completely eliminated any cavity in the wall assembly," said project architect Kevin Flecky. Local contractor Darland Construction Co. combined the wall system panels with Butler's Widespan Structural System for an energy-efficient building.

Tough as Nails
Tile panel roofing system is available in an aluminum substrate with an environmentally friendly finish. Available in long-length, three-foot-wide panels that are applied vertically and secured with screw fasteners. Recommended for coastal and other corrosive environments, the .032 aluminum panel system weighs 85 lb./sf and is resistant to corrosion and wear, says its maker.

Engineered to Perfection
To achieve the "engineering" look that civil engineer Bolton & Menk Inc. desired for its new 20,000-sf headquarters in Mankato, Minn., design architect Paulsen Architects specified metal roof, wall, and soffit panels. Approximately 1,500 sf of copper-finished PAC-CLAD panels cover the walls and a large entry awning. The cladding "shimmers" during the day and "tends to glow at night," according to architect Bryan Paulsen.
