Modified bitumen 'cool' roof achieves Energy Star rating

Aug. 11, 2010

Composed of SBS modified bitumen on fiberglass reinforcement with highly reflective white top surface, Soprema's Energy Star-rated SopraStar roof membrane maintains high reflectivity and emissivity. Unlike white granulated and coated cool roof systems, the tri-laminate product is smooth, which allows facility managers to perform occasional cleaning without risking the removal of granular surfacing.
