Schindler's Miconic 10 elevator control system eliminates the standard push buttons inside elevator cars. Instead, passengers use an external keypad located in the lobby area of each floor to input their destination. The system automatically assesses elevator positions and assigns a car that will quickly deliver passengers to their desired floor, reducing wait times and repeated stops. The system also continually calculates traffic patterns in order to analyze usage and keeps track of capacity by monitoring the weight inside each car.
