Designed for high-end, mid-traffic environments, EnviroCel polyurethane carpet backing is composed of bio-based polymers derived from domestically grown soybeans. The backing also includes Celceram, a highly refined material recovered from the process of coal combustion in electric utility power plants, and post-consumer recycled PET plastic from soft drink and water bottles. The result is a product that contains green materials at levels ranging from 55-85% by weight. EnviroCel carpet backing is not adversely affected by water or temperature changes and can withstand repeated wet cleanings.
