HKS launches Center for Advanced Design Research & Evaluation (CADRE)

Architect/engineering firm HKS has launched the nonprofit Center for Advanced Design Research & Evaluation (CADRE) to improve the design industry’s understanding of the built environment and to explore new design concepts. CADRE already has three funded research projects: Environmental Correlates of Efficiency and Safety in Emergency Departments, Systemic and Cultural Factors Impeding Designing for Operational Flexibility, and Optimizing Inpatient Design and Care.
