The new 371,000-sf Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is set to begin construction in downtown Orlando.

The Institute includes a newly planned eight-story building that will house 75 inpatient rooms and 10 operating rooms. An adjoining six-story medical office building will include two floor of ambulatory suites that will contain an additional 12 operating rooms.

The medical pavilion and outpatient surgery center are set to be completed in late 2022. The hospital has an anticipated completion date of summer 2023. Upon opening, the hispital is expected to add 500 jobs and offer unparalleled comfort for patients from arrival through departure.

Skanska will lead construction for the project.
