CDG Engineers & Associates is an engineering firm designed around the people it serves – public entities, private enterprise and the petroleum industry. CDG turned to Deltek Project Information Management (PIM) to improve its document management and streamline processes.
CDG was using numerous file servers across seven different locations to store its project data, with some offices also using Newforma for email filing and document issuing. There was little consistency with how files were being created and stored, which made finding project information tedious and time consuming. As more files were being mapped to individual servers, the firm was running out of storage and needed a better, more efficient way to manage its documents.
CDG sought out a system to put an end to its document chaos and looked into several solutions including Bentley’s Projectwise, Sharepoint Online, Asensio and Deltek Project Information Management (PIM).
After a thorough evaluation, the firm selected Deltek PIM due to its ease of use, automated worklows, flexible security options and integration with Deltek ERP.
With Deltek PIM, CDG now has a centralized system to create, store and manage its project documents. Deltek PIM’s intuitive interface offers multiple ways to search for data, which enables project managers to find the documents they need within seconds. The firm leverages the integration with Deltek ERP to streamline processes, reduce duplicate entries and improve practices for adding new projects, clients and records.
