Downtown Minneapolis to receive first luxury high-rise apartments in 30 years

By Leslie Streicher, Associate Editor | November 10, 2011

Opus Development Corp. and Elness Swenson Graham Architects have announced plans to build a new high-rise luxury apartment building in downtown Minneapolis. The 33-story building will be the first new high-rise rental in the downtown area in nearly 30 years. Amenities will include an outdoor roof terrace with pool and spa, a fitness center and yoga studio, a private theater, and guest suites. Planned for location near downtown employers, retail, entertainment centers, and public transportation, the building is striving for LEED certification while meeting the city’s goal of high-density and transit-oriented development.
