Department of Energy officials and executives at The Appraisal Foundation are joining forces to advocate energy performance. As part of the Obama Administration’s efforts to improve commercial building efficiency by 2020, the partnership will help reduce energy waste while expanding access to energy efficiency and building performance information.
Providing appraisers with tools to include energy performance when valuing a building will help businesses save money and energy, DOE Secretary Steven Chu said.
