Framing lumber costs spike 5.11% in Q2, according to Gordian data

Year-over-year lumber prices are now up 4.21%, the ninth straight quarter of year-over-year growth.

After dipping for two straight quarters, lumber costs spiked 5.11% entering Q2 of 2026 to $916.62/thousand board feet, according to Gordian’s April 2026 RSMeans data report. Year-over-year prices are now up 4.21%, the ninth straight quarter of year-over-year growth.
