David Barista is the Editorial Director of Building Design+Construction, MultifamilyPro+, and BDCnetwork.com. He has covered the U.S. construction industry for more than 25 years, including multiple editorial roles at Building Design+Construction (2000-2009; 2012-2026) and as Editor-in-Chief of Professional Builder and Custom Builder (2009-2012).

Barista oversees editorial operations and strategy planning/execution for BD+C brands and products. Specific areas of management include BD+C’s Giants 400 rankings, Annual Report series, Top Building Products awards, Elev8 Design Awards, BD+C Daily 5 newsletter, Market Intelligence exclusive research, continuing education content, BDCnetwork.com daily operations, and social media.
