Aquarius Tower, a $60 million, 38-story, 112-unit condominium complex in downtown Atlanta, will be the first condo project in Georgia to incorporate both solar and wind energy into its design. Construction on the 240,000-sf property is slated to begin next month on a lot near the Georgia Aquarium and across from Centennial Olympic Park. Local firms Lily Development (developer), PFVS Architects (design architect), and R.J. Griffin & Company (general contractor) are involved. LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council will be sought. Estimated completion: late 2009.
