California-based construction ï¬?rm Gafcon recently completed work on a $1.6 million animal care facil-ity in Coronado, Calif.California-based construction firm Gafcon recently completed work on a $1.6 million animal care facility in Coronado, Calif. The 3,400-sf concrete-masonry building houses seven dog adoption areas, three cat community rooms, an examination and treatment area, and a “get acquainted room.” Designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, the facility uses recyclable materials, water-efficient landscaping, and artificial turf.
