Aine Brazil, vice chairman and managing principal of Thornton Tomasetti, was recently honored by Real Estate Forum as part of the publication’s annual Women of Influence feature in the July/August 2011 issue. Out of more than 200 nominations, Ms. Brazil was one of 51 selected whose accomplishments were recognized.

- One of the industry’s most celebrated structural engineers, Ms. Brazil was recently promoted to vice chairman of the 550-person international engineering firm and is one of the few women to attain such a prominent position in the field. She is currentlyresponsible for the design and construction of high-rise offices, residential buildings, mixed-use projects, hotels, air-rights projects, hospitals and parking garages.
