BuiltWorlds announces its 6th annual Global Innovators Top 50

BuiltWorlds annual Global Innovator Awards celebrate excellence in the adoption, implementation, and ultimate advancement of innovation throughout the built environment.

BuiltWorlds has announced its 6th annual Global Innovators Top 50, recognizing organizations from around the world for their contributions to advancing the built environment’s digital transformation.

The awards program’s honorees are selected from a combination of nominations and internal selection, with each organization meeting a baseline criteria that includes an international presence in at least 10 countries, annual revenue of over $500 million, and employee count of more than 1,000, among other qualifications. The primary determining factor are the efforts made by the organizations to adopt, implement, and ultimately proliferate effective innovation in our industry.

"This year's honorees are an exceptional group of companies, representing the very best of our industry's efforts to improve the way we build and operate structures and infrastructure,” says Audrey Lynch, BuiltWorlds’ director of research and author of the report. “Look at Skanska's reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions, the number of digitalization and sustainability projects Strabag is leading, or Kajima's deployment of its A4CSEL automated construction system at the Naruse Dam project in Japan's Akita Prefecture. These are the organizations helping define what it is to be innovative in 2026.”

Together, the 6th annual Global Innovators—which include design and engineering firms, building materials manufacturers, commercial and infrastructure construction contractors, commercial real estate firms, built world technology companies, and equipment and machinery manufacturers—employ more than 2.4 million people and account for over $1.1 trillion in annual revenues.
