The 10 most innovative companies in architecture

Fast Company identifies the 10 most innovative architectural firms as part of its Most Innovative Companies feature. Number one on their list: Snohetta, an Oslo- and New York-based firm whose buildings are notable for their architecture of engagement, in which the social experience of the structure is as important as its form.

The firm’s design for Max-Lab IV is shown here. Max-Lab is a national laboratory jointly operated by the Swedish Research Council and Lund University in Lund, Sweden.
