Makr Shakr, a manufacturer of robotic bartenders, has unveiled the world’s first robotic bar in the Netherlands. Makr Shakr claims the new bar is a glimpse into the future of the hospitality industry.

Located in the Netherlands, the new bar features the most advanced model of Toni, the company’s drink-mixing robot. Toni’s mechanical arms can prepare and serve any drink in seconds in quick, contact-free fashion. The robot shakes, stirs, and muddles a string of cocktails from more than 150 different bottles hanging from the ceiling of the bar structure.

Dubbed Robo Bar, the venue is open to the public in Amsterdam’s popular Leidseplein neighborhood. Users can select pre-made recipes developed by international bartenders or create and name new, customized cocktails of their own.

In addition to Toni, the fixed unit, Makr Shakr also offers Bruno, a mobile unit, for events outside of a traditional bar.
