Resilient green flooring for Chicago area hospital

LG Hausys's Naturelife flooring was specified for all eight levels of a new addition to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill., which is seeking LEED certification. “We set up mock rooms at the hospital and installed each option we were considering,” says Jocelyn Stroupe, principal and director of healthcare interiors at OWP/P Architecture, Chicago. “We did a much more intensive evaluation period than we normally would, polling members of the staff on several different topics at specific snapshots in time. Naturelife scored first on every card each time we conducted the survey.” The flooring has a certified minimum of 20% post-consumer recycled content and is FloorScore IAQ certified.
