Hands off that water cooler!

Hands off that water cooler!

August 11, 2010
This article first appeared in the 200808 issue of BD+C.

Water bubbler for educational and healthcare applications features an electronic eye sensor that allows hands-free activation to promote hygienic operation. Once the electronic eye sensor determines that someone has approached the water cooler to take a drink, the cooler immediately begins to dispense water. A symbol on the cooler also visually alerts the user of the hands-free capabilities, and a built-in safeguard automatically shuts off the stream after 30 seconds in case of sensor tampering. The Voyager MVP is also equipped with an LED filter life indicator that alerts facility managers when a new filter is needed.
