Customized system provides Iceland college lighting options

January 13, 2011 |

The new campus building for Reykjavik University in Iceland’s capital benefits from a Zumtobel Luxmate daylight sensor system specially engineered for the lighting conditions of northern latitudes. Slat-shaped metal ceiling panels integrate luminaires equipped with dimming-on-demand ballasts. Panels in each room control the lighting system, and faculty can store their personal light preferences. A Litenet system responds to changes in usage; Onlite provides emergency lighting technology.
