In Marietta, Ga., construction is under way on an 84,400-sf performing arts facility. Serving both students of the adjacent Mt. Paran Christian School campus and the local community, Dozier Center for the Performing Arts will feature an intimate 400-seat music hall, two ballet studios, a jazz/tap studio, and a 2,250-sf black box theater. The three-story building will include facilities for audio and video recording, editing, and the production of programs for the local school community. A 5,600-sf grand lobby was designed as a multipurpose gathering place. The Building Team includes Randall-Paulson Architects of Roswell, Ga., as project architect, New York City-based Walters-Storyk Design Group for acoustical and theater design, and Ferry, Hayes & Allen of Atlanta for interior design.
