Correction to the Design/Construct 300 listing

Correction to the Design/Construct 300 listing

By Staff | August 11, 2010
This article first appeared in the 200110 issue of BD+C.

A misplaced decimal point resulted in an incorrect ranking for a firm in the Engineers category in BD&C's listing of the 300 largest U.S. design and construction firms, published in July. Gage-Babcock & Associates was incorrectly listed as the seventh largest firm, with a volume of $51 million. Since its volume was actually less than that of the 40th-ranked firm, Gage-Babcock drops off the list.

Flack + Kurtz and KPFF Consulting Engineers become tied for the seventh largest engineering firms, and firms following them each move up one position in the ranking. The firm Allen & Shariff Corp. of Columbia, Md., now makes the listing at 40th place. The correct information is on BD&C's Web site, www.bdcmag.com. BD&C regrets the error.
