Carothers Construction, Inc., Water Valley, MS, was awarded a $7,754,472 contract for the construction of the Mission Support Complex, Phase II, at Columbus AFB, Mississippi. The project is a two-story structural steel office complex with approximately 28,000 square feet. The projected construction schedule is 16 months. The majority of space is occupied by various offices for military personnel on the base. It includes several large administration spaces with a conference room on each floor. The building itself will be reminiscent of traditional Southern Plantation architecture.
Carothers is currently completing Phase 1 of Mission support and is scheduled to complete that project by October 10. Both projects are being administered by the Mobile District Corps of Engineers.
