Texas-based church heeds growth with sanctuary expansions
Ziegler Cooper Architects has designed a new 25,000-sf sanctuary for St. John Lutheran Church & School in Cypress, Texas. Nestled on a 20-acre campus, the sanctuary provides dual sound systems for worship services, seating for 800-1,000, extensive common areas, meeting rooms, and a nursery. Future expansions call for additions for the early childhood care program, administrative renovations, new classrooms for adult Bible study, renovation to the historic chapel, and a new youth facility. Upon completion, the total project will cover 110,000 sf.
